Cadence of the Cradle

Based on Robin Renée's Chant: "From the earth and the air and the fire and the sea/Words and music coming through me" (Album: Live Devotion)

Description:

Earth, air, fire and sea are the basic elemental forces encapsulated in the first two lines of "Chant"- the central force both centripetal and centrifugal originates from the nucleus of Ongkar which, is the root of everything in the cosmos. The artwork here is transcosmic as it has all the elements: the earth (in brown shades of rural earth); the fire (in orange and yellow divergent lines); sea (top left like a window-opening to the sea waters) and air (top middle that fuses with the OM).

The two R's in the cradle of OM are in red connoting to the vital energy. It is the channel of transmission of the energy connecting all in the cosmic plane. The vital energy of the red or Kundalini Shakti fuses with the blue/mauve-blue hue that resembles the colour of Lord Krishna.

The two R's in the womb of the Ongkar stands for Renée and Radha. So the chant comes if one can freely swing in the lap of Radha- the ultimate of the ultimate shakti or power.

Figuratively, in the middle lies Gopal, ever young and dancing.

The artwork is done in an Aqua-Folk style- very primitive method used by artists in Indus Valley Civilisations (Mohenjodaro).
Here, a cosmopolitan city icon blends with an old civilization to create the brilliant equipoise of the cadence of the cradle. The artwork also has a visibly distinct scriptural look.
