About Kirtan-o-Rama!

Kirtan-o-Rama! is the name of Robin Renée's kirtan chanting events, as well as the name of theYahoogroup she created that is dedicated to the practice.

Kirtan is a form of call and response chanting in the Indian devotional tradition. The Holy Names of God/dess are sung, most often in the ancient, sacred language of Sanskrit. The repetition of these mantras brings one to deep stillness, bliss, and to a profound sense of oneness with All. Discussion and events announced on Kirtan-o-Rama! are based primarily in the Hindu and Buddhist traditions, and may be connected with the loving culture of the Pagan community.
